Last week, I had the incredible privilege of being invited to shadow internationally-renowned fashion photographer, Ron Contarsy, for a Hong Kong Tatler shoot. The shoot took place in New York City’s legendary Sun Studios in NoHo. I’d never been to an actual fashion photo shoot before, and it was, to put it simply, quite an experience. I was surrounded by pretty much every designer label you can imagine: Roberto Cavalli, Dior, Chanel, Dolce & Gabana, Christian Louboutin, Versace, Prada…just to name a very select few. Shadowing Ron allowed me the opportunity to see first-hand what goes in to making a successful fashion shoot, not just for my own experience, but so I could invite you all into the excitement with me. There was a very decent amount of work, people, and hours that went into making this beautiful shoot. And even being able to take part in the “behind-the-scenes”, it was still just as glamorous as you could ever imagine.

Kevin O’Neill for giving me access to roam the beautiful Sun Studios as well as sharing with me its incredible history. And to Ron’s crew and all of the models for their patience as I stuck my camera in their faces.
