Vauxhall Fashion Scout is one of the main events taking place during London Fashion Week, hosting a wonderful selection of up and coming designers at the beautiful Freemasons’ Hall. One of the presentations hosted at Vauxhall Fashion Scout is The Exhibition, where a number of the designers of tomorrow display their most recent collections, giving bloggers, buyers, and industry insiders the opportunity to meet and speak with the designers themselves.
Morana Kranjec is a Croatian designer based in Zagreb. I was, and am, completely in love with her A/W 2012 collection. It was so hard for me to NOT walk up to and hold all of the mannequins. Her use of origami techniques in her designs give her collection a completely original look, adding hauntingly elegant qualities of beauty.
Having been born into a fashion family, design seemed to only be a natural path for Kranjec, which we should all be grateful for. Kranjec studied Faculty of Textile at the University of Zagreb, where she found inspiration in Japanese clothing to be a focal attribute in her designing.
