NYFW: Monika Chiang S/S 2013 Presentation

ambassador of fashion

Last February, my very first New York Fashion Week show I attended was Monika Chiang’s A/W 2012 collection held at the Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Center. I was so thrilled to have her as my kick-off fashion show again this season, this time at The Box inside of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week tents.

I was very pleased with the color scheme of her S/S 2013 collection, as I felt it sort of went “against the grain”. For the warmer seasons, the trends seem to always land on pastels and florals, while the most prominent colors I took note of during her presentation were orange and black. The entire presentation seemed somewhat rebellious, but then again, isn’t rebellion usually the goal in fashion?

  2. Hey! I attended Ruffian, Rafael Cennamo (amazing), Herve Leger…I was invited to a few others yesterday but ended up not attending them. Tomorrow I’m doing Matheiu Mirano, followed by William Okpo, Lars Andersson, and my last day I’ll be covering Nolcha Fashion Week. :)
