Although my plans for this weekend had already been to lounge around my loft and sit on my computer looking up naughty lingerie, I felt perfectly guilt-free about it when I opened my curtains this morning to a freaking snow storm. WTF, mate? I feel like I hadn’t even had a chance to enjoy Fall. Well, bye, Fall.
My reasoning for wanting to look up naughty lingerie, specifically Italian lingerie, had been inspired by my friend Ewa – a native of Poland although she is fluent in Polish, English, as well as Italian. She showed me her super smokin’ hosiery and garter belt when I realized I need to amp up my ‘sexy’. Here I am in my thick stockings I’ve had for the last 3 years that I’ve been too lazy to even run a lint roller over. I wasn’t even disappointed when she told me her goods had been purchased in Italy – I thought, “oOooOohHhh….time for a blog post!” Although I found a number of Italian lingerie designers, I felt that La Perla simply did it best…
La Perla was founded by Ada Masotti in the 1950′s while she was working as a concierge when she began to make corsets for wealthy women. When her corsets gained popularity among the elite, she formed her own brand with partner Ubaldo Borgomanero, who specialized in hand-made lace and embroideries, which remains to this day one of La Perla‘s signatures
Be aware that even if you’re shy, you don’t have to be a creeper to be sexy. If you try on the hosiery and garter belt above, all you need to do is throw on a Santa hat and you’ve got the best Christmas present for your partner. (Don’t even bother with the tie or espresso machine…this will be much more exciting to unwrap!)
